Early Production Systems and Emergency Response Systems
The HWCG is a consortium of 15 deep water operators in the Gulf of Mexico who have come together with the common goal of expanding capabilities to quickly and comprehensively respond to a subsea spill to protect employees, communities and the environment. The HWCG hired a well testing expert PTS to provide a containment unit capable of handling 15000 bbl/day and 100MMSFCD of production. PTS then acquired the services of F&C to develop the PIDs and full detail design. The entire work was conducted in 2.5 months and the system is completely modularized so it can be shipped and installed in a variety of floating drilling vessels. NOTE: 3D models and pictures of the preassembled facility were developed to ensure successful fitment prior to deployment.
